Is your idea of planning to write your semi-annual dentist appointments on a wall calendar that's always a couple of months behind because you forget to turn the pages? Do you long for a personal planning system that's portable, organized, and flexible - that you'll actually use?
I encourage you to try a traveler's notebook.
Portability - Our small, pocket-sized notebooks can easily slip into a purse or briefcase without adding much weight or bulk. You'll always have your schedule or notes handy when you need them.
Organization - The kids' calendar is in the kitchen, your work calendar is in your truck, and your personal notes are on dozens of sticky notes strewn around the house. Simplify your life and combine everything into one gorgeous notebook that you just love to see and carry.
Retention - I am the first to jump on a new tech gadget - Siri and Alexa are active members of my household. But... I adore paper. The visual of my calendar open on my desk or the act of writing something down aids in my retention and makes the planning experience so much more fun than instructing Siri to remember it for me. Out of sight, out of mind.
Flexibility - I continue to be amazed at the creative ways people use their traveler's notebooks, and I hope you'll share with us how you use yours. Busy month, packed with scheduled appointments? Maybe you need to carry the month at a glance booklet. Tracking daily menus and workouts? Maybe the day-on-one-page is right for you this month. We carry a beautiful collection of structured notebooks that prompt you for documenting baby moments, hikes, or running races if you have a special interest at the moment. We kept our formats clean and simple to provide a neutral background for your own creativity. And if you're on the go and you don't need your entire notebook, you can simply pull out the booklet you need and take it with you.
How do I start?
I recommend that you start by writing down a list of things you like to track and schedule. Write down your hobbies. Kids? Sports? Make your list.
Now, take a look at your list and decide which format might work best for you. Personally, I like to have all of the formats in my book at once, with one extra booklet. I have a monthly view, a weekly view, and a day-on-1-page booklet to capture details of my life. But if that's too much for you, then stick with what works for your life.
Decide if you want your planning pages to be dated for you, or if you want an undated version like this, so you don't have to waste space if you only plan now and then.
Do-it-yourself printable files are popular in online planning communities, because they're cheaper, you don't have to wait for a delivery, and you get the satisfaction of making your booklet yourself. We have monthly, weekly, and daily dated printable files. If you purchase one of these items, you will receive a download link after the transaction has cleared. It's easy to print - double-sided, landscape mode, short side binding. Your pages will print in the correct order to be folded in half for your booklet. You'll trim 1.5 inches off the top and bottom, then 2 inches off of each side. Please see our trimming instructions if you need help.
Next, choose a journal cover. We have a textured, rugged football leather (yes, it's the very same you see on the field on Sundays), or we have a smooth, natural vegetable-tanned leather that will darken and develop a beautiful patina over the years.
