Brought to life in 2020, Grace Notes Designs is a home-grown, woman-owned business located in New Jersey, USA. We value dreaming, doing, and learning to love ourselves whatever our circumstances.
When I was little, my yellow feather pen was one of my most prized possessions. I loved writing and the idea that someday, a perfect stranger in a future generation might get to know me through a stashed bundle of ribbon-tied letters in a forgotten attic. I wondered if they would notice that I had selected postage stamps that matched the color and theme of my writing papers.
Later, when I received my first Franklin Covey planner in a faux-leather cover, I added planning to my growing list of paper love. If personal letters could transport the reader into my world, imagine the delight of discovering a day planner - such an intimate peek into another’s world. The combination of writing and beautiful accessories makes my heart sing.
In our wonderful world of electronic conveniences, nothing can replace the charm and allure of paper and pen. Today, our choices for journals and stationery are boundless. But I struggled to piece together a system that reflected my style.
Finally, one cold winter day in 2020, I decided it was time to stop dreaming about what I always wanted to do, and simply start doing it. I wanted to create a collection of unique, beautiful, flexible writing systems with sparkling trimmings that will encourage you to write. Write anything. Write everything. Pour out your soul, make a grocery list, or note your next dentist appointment. Write. Write, plan and record your life and keep it close in a long-lasting leather notebook cover.
Our great grandchildren probably are not going to scan our cell-phones for personal notes or photos. Technology will have changed and evolved by then. Leave them paper. Allow them the thrill of discovering you long after you’ve left this world.
